Daterra is recognized as one of the most advanced and consistent producers of quality coffee in the world. Over the past 35 years they have worked to track every single part of the process their coffee goes through and how each step affects cup quality. Daterra is also known for their commitment to sustainable farming: they maintain Rainforest Alliance Certification and have set aside more than half of their farm—3,250 hectares—as a nature preserve. Daterra’s success has also enabled them to do revolutionary things for their workers. They provide profit sharing to all their employees as well as free day care and health care. Daterra is setting the standard for producing quality coffee without sacrificing care for the environment or their employees.

Consistent quality is how Daterra built their name, and they’ve done it through tracking and logging all the details. They closely monitor the rainfall on every part of their farm, along with which varietals are grown where. They then process the coffee using state-of-the-art milling equipment, and sort out defects using gravity sorting, optical sorting and UV color testing. After the coffees have been processed they begin rigorous rounds of cupping, and assemble lots based on flavor profile. All of these efforts result in superb and consistent quality year after year. We love the full body and lasting sweetness of this naturally processed lot.

    I love this Brazilian coffee. It is rich a bold, but still bright! I don't have a highly developed palette for the single origins, yet. I am working on it...but this one and the Monte Carlo are 2 of my favorites.

    on the strong side but not acidic. full-body, great aroma. my favorite so far.

Select this option to receive whole bean coffee that can be ground to your preference just before brewing.

Coarsest (French Press):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for metal screen brewing devices (e.g., French press).

Coarser (Percolator):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for percolator or other similar brewing devices.

Medium (Auto-drip):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for flat-bottom filters, such as those used on automatic coffee makers or Kalita Wave brewers.

Finer (Cone Filter):
