In the cloud forest of the Dipilto Japalapa mountain range lies the 250-acre La Bendicion farm, of which 150 acres are preserved forest, and only 100 are used for coffee production. The cloud forest is characterized by loose sandy soils, cool moist air and an abundance of natural plant species. Pines and cedars tower over tropical fruits, and provide a canopy for the native animals: deer, white-faced monkeys and sloths. In this natural paradise, Luis Alberto grows this selection of Pacamara variety, a species known for its unique overgrown size and herbaceous flavor.

The Pacamara beans are selectively picked multiple times each year, de-pulped and washed on small wet mills on the farm before being transported southwest to Ocotal to be processed at the Beneficio Las Segovias mill. The hot and dry climate of Ocotal is perfect for drying coffees, and this centralized facility allows for great quality control. The results speak for themselves in an exceptionally refined and articulate coffee with bright clean acidity, warm spice notes and smooth finish.

Select this option to receive whole bean coffee that can be ground to your preference just before brewing.

Coarsest (French Press):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for metal screen brewing devices (e.g., French press).

Coarser (Percolator):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for percolator or other similar brewing devices.

Medium (Auto-drip):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for flat-bottom filters, such as those used on automatic coffee makers or Kalita Wave brewers.

Finer (Cone Filter):

Select this option to receive coffee ground for cone-shaped brewers such as Melitta, Chemex, or any common pour-over cone brewing device.
