This blend was created as the hallmark coffee for our original cafe at 71 Irving Place. The challenge of creating a coffee we'd dream of drinking every day was a daunting one, but we have fallen in love with this smooth combination of Latin American coffees. We selected high grown washed coffees from Central America because they are distinctly clean and snappy, and mixed them with a small amount of Brazilians to add body, sweetness, and depth. The specific coffees in the blend change throughout the year based on availability, in order to maintain the consistent, graceful flavor profile we've come to love in this blend.
Currently, we are roasting the coffees separately so that we can have a more dynamic range of flavors. Taking the Peru into second crack to develop more body as well as nice chocolate and malty flavors. With the El Salvador, and Guatemala we end the roast just before second crack to preserve the beautiful crispness and balance the blend. The result is a comfortable cup of coffee perfect for drinking any time. No small wonder it is a favorite of our customers at 71 Irving, and throughout the city.
This coffee is a smooth fulfilling coffee anytime of the day.
For years I searched for a coffee that was rich, robust, nutty without the excessively roasted smokiness that characterizes the 800 pound gorilla from the great Northwest. I stumbled on 71 Irving House Blend a number of years ago, and although I've tried other Irving Farm varieties, nothing has moved me away from 71. Our friends have come to expect it when they visit, and running out is a crisis event. Any visit to the City includes a pilgrimage to Irving Place!!
Love this coffee. I was weening myself off of another brand of coffee...and discovered Irving Farms. At first I only drank the wonderful Gotham blend, but I decided to also try house. It is now my go to blend. Can't wait for morning!
Love this coffee. Great for every morning! I am so hooked on Irving Farm. I honestly have never had a coffee there I did not love!
Available for limited times in small quantities, our carefully curated micro-lots are single origin coffees at their purest. Not only are the beans sourced from one farm, they're sourced from one micro-lot of land on that farm, ensuring a highly consistent flavor and experience. This is a wonderful way to sample the true, amazing potential of coffee. We've selected these lots despite their small quantity because we see something in them that's truly special--and we think you will, too.
True to their name, single origin coffees consist of beans sourced from a farm or community in one, specific region. Seasonal selections from around the world, our line of single origin coffees focuses on the highest quality product from coffee producers who take their work as seriously as we do.
Handcrafted from exceptional single origin coffees, our signature blends are carefully developed in our Hudson Valley roastery to please drinkers day after day, year round.
Offering exceptional flavor to coffee lovers who prefer to go without the caffeine, our Decaf selections stay true to taste with carefully blended, naturally water-processed decaffeinated coffees.
